Here in this lesson we introduce the DADGAD guitar tuning. DADGAD is a wonderful altered tuning for playing traditional Celtic music as it creates a really lovely full sound on the guitar and emulates drones very easily.

In this first DADGAD lesson we look at tuning the guitar to DADGAD from Standard Tuning. And then also take a first look at the open drone notes and the effect they have on the guitar’s resonance.
