‘The Hut on Staffin Island’
Part 1 ~ Learning The Tune (Melody)
Here in this video we are learning the tune (melody) for the popular slow Scottish reel ‘Hut on Staffin Island‘ composed by Phil Cunningham. The tune is in D Major and we are in Standard Tuning playing in second position for the whole tune. I am playing and teaching this using a flatpick (plectrum) but if preferred you could also learn this using your fingers playing Fingerstyle.
